Jeudy helps Haiti clinch W Championship spot (Video)

LE GOSIER, Guadeloupe – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers continued with Haiti and the Dominican Republic playing to a 1-1 draw in Group D on Friday at Stade Roger Zami in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe.

After a scoreless first half, Haiti opened the scoring in the 67’ when Jennyfer Limage sent a ball over the top for Sherly Jeudy to flick a header into the net.

The Dominican Republic equalized in the 73’ as Stella Tapia corralled a header from a Haitian defender and blasted it into the back of the net.

With the draw, Haiti finishes atop Group D with a 3-1-0 record. As a group winner, Haiti also booked its participation in the 2026 Concacaf W Championship.

Dominican Republic concluded its campaign in second place of the group with a 2-2-0 record.

With new data showing more than half of all Haitians continue to face acute food insecurity, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is urgently calling for support to protect recent fragile gains in the fight against hunger and to foster stability in the struggling Caribbean nation. An updated analysis from the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) reveals 5.8 million Haitians —roughly 52 percent of the population— are facing crisis levels or worse of food insecurity (IPC Phase 3 or above). Of those, more than 1.8 million are enduring emergency food insecurity levels (IPC Phase 4) for the period of March to June 2026, meaning they are exhausting their last assets and unable to meet even basic food needs.
